My hair turned wavy after age 40?

Has anyone else had their hair turn wavy after age 40? After having thin, fine , straight hair all my life, the underneath layer has turned wavy, the very top layer is still straight.

your body is going through a change it might be effecting your hair too, i also heard that if a hair stylist cuts your hair in the wrong direction that it could change the way your hair grows

As people age, their skin gets wrinkled and can change from dry to oily or vice/versa, hair can change color---so it can definatly change texture! usually, if hair gets rougher (like from years of styling) it will be wavier. so what your experiencing is totally normal!

try using some good conditioner to get that layer of hair healthier %26amp; the rest of your hair too...like aussie 3 minute miracle.

  1. I'm turning 40 this year and I have always had extremely straight, fine hair but a lot of it. I use to want curls but my hair wouldn't even take a perm. Over the past couple of weeks I've noticed my hair changing literally before my eyes. Now I have very wavy "beach blown style" kind of hair. It's really strange because I've always had a very sleek look and now I look like I should live on the coast. I had a supercervical hystorectomy about 5 years ago but I still have my ovaries. Do you still think this is hormones? It's really strange because it seemed like it happend overnight.
