Wavy natural looking hair?

Girls how do you make your hair wavy without using a curling iron. I want the messy wavy kind of hair style. Is putting it in a bun and sleeping on it the right thing to do?? What if when i sleep on it and then in the morning it gets puffy... what should i try then??

thanks for any suggestions.... oh yeah and what if my hair length is only beneath my shoulders. Will it still work or should i wait for it to grow out.

Braid it and go to sleep -- but try to not braid it soaking wet -- it won't dry by morning! Braid it when it's still kind of damp and braid it LOOSELY. If you braid it too tight you will end up with a crimped look. You can even add mousse or a heat protectant spray or leave in conditioner to your wet hair. Very clean hair often doesnt hold a style as well as "second-day hair" or hair with a little "grease"... let it air dry to ALMOST dry then braid it then go to sleep.

Most importantly... when you take the braids out the morning after, just finger comb the hair gently. DO NOT comb or brush or you'll get major poof and frizz! And try not to mess with it or play with it after that. Doing so can make it frizz up.

I would try braiding it before you go to sleep! I find that if i can I try and braid it wet so that it eases the frizz! Try playing with the tightness of the braids to vary the curl tightness.

braids will probably be the best way to acheive this look with less frizz.

Take a shower at night and be sure to use both shampoo and conditioner so that way it won't get poofy in the morning.

Towel dry ur hair enough so it won't drip water all over the place. Comb your hair the way you want it to look in the morning then

go to sleep. (wavy hair comes from moving around when ur sleeping)

when you wake up you'll have bomb a** wavy hair. (^_^)

PS.....You should cut hair in layers so that it helps it look more wavy
