I no how you feel! my hair is thick and wavy. What i do with my hair is i went to my hair dresser, got angles and layers about medium height, and then i straighten it. I think it looks really pretty in the end.

ive got really thick wavy hair...but i just got my hair done....i cut it at shoulder length and had it layered with side swept bangs.......But if u get that haircut and u wanna wear it down...you have too straighten it......=)

you can pretty much get it cut however you want however if you're going to keep it long, tell them to add drastic layers and thin it out. If you're going to go short tell them to just thin it out.... if you explain to your hairdresser your situation they usually will have many suggestions... they see hairs like yours everday and know what to do with it!!!

I have thick wavy hair too, and I have found that the best haircut to get would be to get layers cut in. It decreases the volume so you don't have a giant puffball on your head and it makes it easier to style your hair wavy/curly. I got mine cut a little past shoulder length with layers and side bangs and it looked amazing. It also looks great straightened too.
