it'd be great if i could find cheap products at wal mart or target. i've tried everything when i had long hair: mousse, shampoos, curl sprays, curl creams, scrunching gel... everything. i want actual spirals and curls, not waves

have you tried i cheap curler. i got a cheap hair strateiner at walmart and it works for me. than you could have small ringlets or big ones.

I've got naturally curly hair too. What i do is after i take a shower and go somewhere with my mom like to wal-mart or something i have my window rolled down and start scrunching it, after that and we stop at a stoplight or something, it turns into actual curls instead of wavves. Also, when you go to Wal-Mart, get some Aloe-Vera (its a body gel for sunburns, heat rashes, etc) and scrunch your hair with that too. Good Luck
