u shoood wash and right when u get out of the shower dry and putt tht frizz control hairspray on it and comb out ur hair and straighten it and see wat happeneaz.

I used to have the same problem, but what i use is Panteen (spelled that wrong but u know what I mean) Sleek and Shiney or any other product that will help to straighten your hair. The other thing that helps is I have a really good quality straightner, and the best thing for wavy hair is a iron that gets REALLY HOT (mine gets to about 450) and it works like a charm :-)

First get a leave in straightning gel. Theres alot at walgreens, when hair is damp you put it in it smoothes, defrizzes and protects from damage. I cant name any off the tip of my tounge now but they are normally in the shampoo and conditioner sections. Then get straightners with the small thin plates then u can get a better grip on your hair. Also i think its sunsilk has a really good smoothing shampoo which will keep your hair down.

after you get out of the shower, and after you dry your hair, squirt in some leave in conditioner. let it air dry, then iron it out with a hair flat iron. works wonders for me. it also works best if i do it the day after i wash my hair.

it's rumored that it's bad to wash your hair every single day so i wash mine every other day and for some reason it always comes out better the 2nd day.

you also might want to try ironing it out before you go to bed. sleep on it and iron it out again the next morning.... either way, get some leave in conditioner. usually comes in a spritz bottle in the hair care aisle.

Depends on how you straighten it. Your hair is short so it should be really easy. Wash your hair and let it air dry. Invest in some type of serum like BioSilk or Chi Oil and comb through out your hair, dime sized. Take a paddle brush and blow dry your hair from the root and down. Using a blowdryer and brush will make your hair less frizzy. If you really need to, use a flat iron for a smoother effect. For more a more dramatic effect, take some hair pomade and create that piecy look with your fingers. Looks great on short straight hair.

Make sure your hair is COMPLETELY dry prior to straightening. It also could have a little do with the brand of straightener you're using.

For example, some people's hair responds better to ceramic straighteners versus a steam straightener, and vice versa.

If you're using a product in your hair, put the product in your hair about 10-30 minutes prior to straightening, so that your hair is dry....the idea is to straighten it, not fry it, which is what happens when your hair is still retaining moisture; you essentially end up frying your hair from the inside out from moisture trapped in the hair shaft.

If you straighten your hair and don't plan on going anywhere, try tying it down flat with a scarf...and ideally, you should do this at night also (that's only if you don't wash your hair everyday though...otherwise its pointless).

blow dry it straight! (have someone do it for you the first couple times)...make sure you get a good blow dryer (NOT conair!)..Revlon with Ion is good and make sure it has that thin tip nozzle and when you blow dry always point down ..for more info check out these sights and videos :
