I am a guy with really thick wavy hair several inches long. What products can keep it under control?

The ends are always curling up regardless of how long I've had my hair. It's also slightly poufy. Would using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner help me, or would it make it even worse?

There are shampoos/conditioners out there to help tame frizzy hair. Stay away from anything that offers volume as it appears you don't need the help! I would recommend getting something like Biosilk (or a cheaper/similar product) to help control or smooth it. Also another product to help with the frizz is Frizz-ease. The curling at the ends may just be the natural way your hair grows. You could consider buying a flat iron to help with that, but that would be a bigger out of pocket expense.

you would have to fing a shampoo and conditioner specifficly for wavy hair. any thing else puts more volume into your hair and make your natural curls poofy.

Use Infusium 23 moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and once you get out of the shower rub a little leave in conditioner in it..

Get some kind of straightening gel - just go to the health and beauty section in whatever store you like to shop in (don't shop at Walmart! they are evil) and look for straightening syrum or something like it. There are lots of different products to choose from. If you want something more specific - ask the stylist next time you get a hair cut. Avon also makes some really great products.

I leave in my consitioner instead of stripping it out. Also i use frizz ease conditoner. Some gel may be needed to keep the ends from curling, and can help with the poofiness. I use cheap gel, as I found that it acyually worked better than the expensive gel.

A really good conditioner...Finesse mousse or Leave in conditioner spray also helps used even with use of regular conditioner and shampoo. Use a wide tooth comb to comb thru it then let it dry. I f you must comb it again use wide tooth comb or pick.

Curly hair becomes bigger due to moisture in air. So using a moisturizing shampoo or conditioner would be a good idea. I would go a step further and would try a leave in moisturizer. You can even find leave in conditioners that have a styling product added to it. These are products that are easy to find just about anywhere. Good luck!
