I have fine, but lots of wavy hair. Conditioners (tried lots) makes it flop.?

What would you recommend. My hair is dark. Its shortish at the moment and I would love to have a sort of spikey look. Help?

Camilla - sounds like you have exactly the same kind of hair as me. My hairdresser always says that it's "fine, but there's a lot of it".

I use John Frieda's Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner, and my hair is always noticeably thicker looking after I've used it.

If that doesn't work, try a root perm. That's when they treat the hairs at the root, and it gives your hair more body (doesn't look like you've actually had a perm).

Pretty tough to do with wavy hair. I'd say don't fight it and enhance the "wave".

My hair is like that, use a basic shampoo and conditioner then use a styling glue for the spikes

use curl enhancing shampoo and only use a conditioner once every 4th wash

Styling moose has plenty of conditioner. The spiky look is in the cut, it's called texturizing. Like a razor cut. The flippy ends are done with a flat iron. On short hair use a thin flat iron or a large metal round brush and roll the hair up while heating up the brush with the blow dryer. Then use spiking wax and pull the spikes. Look at Halle Berry's short spiky cuts

I NEVER use a conditioner. Shampoo only. As your hair is fine, its unlikely you will need conditioner. Conditioners sometimes can be too heavy on hair. If you wish for a spikey look, that has nothing to do with conditioner, it's all in the cut. Use shockwaves products which are very good in keeping short spikey hair in style.

Try Ouidad products. Check her website. Her book is good too
