If you get straight blunt bangs you probably will have to straighten your hair everyday. You can have long sideswept bangs with wavy hair though. It depends on how wavy your hair is. Very wavy/curly hair doesn't look too good with bangs.

maybe you could just rebond(straighten) just your bangs because way short bangs might look kinda funny. so just let your hair at the back be way with just the bangs straight. it's cute trust me.

Yeah it looks fine. Just make sure you don't get them cut too short. My hair is very, very wavy and it gets dred twists in it and I love my bangs. Go for it. Remember that the bangs grow faster than any other part of your hair, so it can't hurt to try it.
